Snopelika Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

Kick off the Christmas Season at the Sno*pelika Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 3rd in Downtown Opelika! 

The event line-up includes:
5:30PM - Night Parade Starts
Opelika's annual Christmas Parade kicks off the Snopelika festivities! Local citizens gather all throughout the downtown streets for the evening parade to see 90+ parade entries. Different themed floats as well as local marching bands, horses & vintage vehicles parade through streets!

6:30PM - Snowfall at Courthouse Square
At the conclusion of the parade, enjoy a snowy winter wonderland, Christmas music, snowball fights, food trucks, picture opportunities galore, and a chance to visit with Santa Claus at Courthouse Square!

8:00PM - Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join the Opelika High School Band as they lead the community to the corner of 9th and South Railroad for the official Christmas Tree Lighting and watch as city officials flips the switch!

SOUTHERN UNION STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE WILL BE OFFERING SHUTTLES FOR PICK UP/DROP OFF FROM 4:30PM-9:30PM LOCATED AT 301 Lake Condy Rd BETWEEN “LOT B” AND “LOT C”
