Come join us at The Plains Taproom as we celebrate our Grand Opening and World Down Syndrome day! The Plains Taproom is the first self-pour establishment in the Auburn/Opelika area where customers pour their own beverage by the ounce utilizing an RFID card to activate the taps. Every tap has a touch screen with details about the beverage, alcohol content, and price per ounce. The Taproom features 40 taps of craft beers, ciders, wine, hard seltzer and wine cocktails. Kombucha, soda, sparkling water, and bottled water are also available for purchase. We also have an awesome menu of sharable pub-style food to complement your beverage choice.
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.
The Plains Taproom is a family centric establishment where all are welcomed and celebrated. We are also deeply rooted in the local community. On March 21st, tap 21 will be designated as our charity tap, and 100% proceeds from that tap will be donated to a local charity.
